Dr Martin Wade, Australian Dermatologist in London, is a hair loss specialist, specializing in hair disorders, and a skin cancer specialist.
Dr Wade has conducted research on hair loss including male pattern baldness, female hair loss, alopecia, alopecia areata, androgenetic alopecia and scarring alopecia. He is one of the few Dermatologists in the UK who specializes in diagnosis and treatment of hair loss, hair disorders and skin disorders.
As an Australian Dermatologist, Dr Wade is experienced in treating skin cancer and melanoma (including early detection and prevention) through his Dermatological experience in Australia which included working at one of the major melanoma units. He performs full skin assessments and mole checks and is able to perform cryotherapy if required.
Dr Wade has a regular blog where he writes articles on the topics of hair loss and hair disorders, and skin cancer.
Dr Wade also consults on General Dermatology including the diagnosis and treatment of acne, rosacea, psoriasis, eczema, dermatitis and lichen planus.
He is fully accredited with the UK General Medical Council (GMC), on the British Specialist Register for Dermatology, a Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists and an International Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. He is recognized by all UK insurance companies.
Dr Wade’s NHS post is with Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust at King George Hospital and Queens Hospital where he is the Clinical Lead for Dermatology and Lead Clinician for the Skin Cancer MDT (multi-disciplinary team).
